Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in the United States. You will develop and maintain relationships with local contractors and builders while selling our full line of building materials and installed services. You will manage ongoing projects, track customer needs, and visit job sites as required.

Salary plus commission with no cap on earnings; strong communication and sales strategies are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales with contractors, builders and remodelers.
• Basic knowledge of home building materials and installed services.
• Proficient in MS Office suite for reporting and communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take-off lists.
• Open new accounts on a regular monthly/quarterly basis.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple jobs.
• Experience attending industry functions (HBA/builder/company).</span>

Responsibilities

• Find and close sales of our full line of building materials and installed services.
• Manage each sold job and the ongoing relationship with the customer.
• Collect updates on product use, trends and customer needs; visit job sites as needed.
