Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, visit job sites, and manage each project from quote to completion.

This full-time role offers a commission-based compensation with no cap, opportunities for growth, and a benefits package. Strong communication, planning, and knowledge of home building basics are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Read blueprints and provide material takeoffs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Able to work independently with strong planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Find and close sales of our building materials and installed services.
• Manage each sold project and maintain customer relationships.
• Visit job sites and collect/update customer information and take-offs.
• Coordinate with yard, dispatch and management to ensure customer satisfaction.
