Job summary

ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Field Sales team in the Plano area, driving in-store presence with major home center partners like The Home Depot and Lowe's. You will develop and execute sales and marketing plans, manage a budget, and supervise a Merchandiser team to deliver results.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year in retail or merchandising, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management
• Preferred experience supervising others and managing a budget
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to walk, stand, lift up to 45 lbs and work outdoors in weather
• Ability to work holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating work assignments with feedback
• Use strategic selling to educate retail partners on opportunities
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and tools/events
• Develop recruiting plans, interview and hire to build Merchandiser team within budget
• Provide product knowledge across Scotts brands to retailers
• Assist retailers with proper merchandising and POS materials to meet accounts' needs
