ScottsMiracle-Gro in Palm Springs, CA is seeking a Sales Manager to lead field sales and drive in-store presence with major home center partners. You will manage Merchandisers, develop retail plans, and oversee budgeting while mentoring a team and executing marketing tools.

The role requires at least 1 year in retail or merchandising, with supervisory experience and budgeting skills. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management.
• Preferred experience supervising employees and managing a budget.
• Strong delegation skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.
• Problem solving and service oriented attitude.
• Ability to work holidays and weekends; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and endure weather elements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct Merchandisers, plan and delegate work and provide ongoing feedback.
• Use strategic selling to educate home center partners on opportunities.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and events.
• Develop recruiting plans, interview and hire to grow Merchandiser team while managing budget.
• Provide product knowledge training across the Scotts brands.
• Assist retailers in proper merchandising and use of POS materials to meet needs.
