Graybar is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to sell our products and services in a specialized market. You will develop new prospects and maintain contact with established customers, visiting them at their business sites or other off-site locations.

You will meet or exceed a defined gross margin budget while promoting products, handling complaints, and reporting market conditions. Travel is extensive and compensation includes incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals
• Ability to sell and be persuasive
• Extensive travel required, including some overnight travel.

Responsabilités

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in assigned territory.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Inform management of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandising programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
