Johnson Controls in Phoenix is seeking a field-based Technical Sales Specialist for Fire Alarm/Life Safety pre-sales. You will collaborate with local sales teams, engineers and contractors to shape technical solutions, review proposals, and prepare cost estimates, ensuring compliant, practical system recommendations.

Residency in the territory and on-site visits are required; ideal candidates have 5+ years in fire detection, strong communication, and knowledge of Simplex/Autocall.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience with Simplex or Autocall required.
• Experience in the Fire Detection industry is essential.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre‑sales support for Fire Alarm/Life Safety sales in assigned market.
• Review proposals, assess functionality, and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with customer surveys, site assessments, and quotations.
• Deliver demonstrations of equipment and present code updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Sales/Install teams on design, requirements, and projects.
