Job summary

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer I in Houston, TX to sell and support our analytical instrument portfolio. You will build strong customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate across functions to drive success.

Role requires at least 3 years of sales experience with analytical instruments; travel up to 50% and a 82–84k base with uncapped commission. A bachelor’s in life sciences (Chemistry preferred) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline; Chemistry strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and grow new and existing accounts; develop strategic sales plans to meet revenue goals.
• Provide consultative support and product guidance; deliver technical presentations at events.
• Coordinate with field applications and lab teams to deliver technical solutions; manage quotes and close deals.
