Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Field Sales Engineer I to cover Portland, Salem, and Eugene areas in Oregon. You will sell and support Shimadzu's analytical instrument portfolio, build long-term customer relationships, and drive growth with strategic account planning.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, technical presentations, and collaboration with field specialists to deliver solutions for chemical, environmental, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry required.
• Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience with analytical instruments.
• Experience with chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopy.
• Strong technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation.
• Proficient in CRM, forecasting and reporting.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% overnight.

Responsabilités

• Identify and prioritize new client opportunities; manage and grow existing accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Provide consultative support and product guidance to customers.
• Deliver technical presentations at trade shows and industry events.
• Coordinate with field colleagues to deliver technical solutions and share leads.
