Job summary

TruTeam in Columbia, SC is seeking a Sales Consultant to grow residential and light commercial accounts with a base salary plus commission. You will identify prospects, present proposals, and manage relationships to drive new business and meet sales targets.

You will provide product knowledge, assess customer needs, monitor market trends, and stay aligned with safety programs on-site. This role requires local travel and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years sales experience in building products/construction.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers and generate and follow up on leads.
• Conduct daily sales calls, provide proposals, generate new business leads and manage accounts.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to customers, recommending materials and services based on customers’ needs.
• Understand the market you serve, monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
• Meet monthly sales targets.
• Communicate safety programs to customers at sale inception by inspecting job sites for safety concerns.
• Manage customer experience from initial sale to project completion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
