Job summary

Genesis AI is seeking an embedded engineer for the data engine to keep customer sites and partner deployments running. You will work hands-on on-site, diagnose across hardware, software, and data, and collaborate with model, platform, and hardware teams to translate field learnings into improved specifications and tasks.

You will spend time at customer sites, travel to partner sites, and help bring up new tasks and sites while turning problems into actionable data requests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience in real-world robotics/hardware
• Ability to interact with customers and translate needs into actions
• Proficiency with Linux environments
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and work on-site with customers

Responsibilities

• Keep collection running at stations and partner sites; ensure hours are collected.
• Travel to customer sites; work with their teams to solve problems on the spot and provide feedback to the global team.
• Diagnose end-to-end across hardware, software, and data; implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Serve as the channel back to model, platform, and hardware teams by surfacing field issues as tickets and data requests.
• Assist in setting up new tasks and sites; stand up sites to the standard.
• Turn learnings into better task specs and acceptance criteria from the data engine playbook.
• Support multiple sites, both in person and remote, as the operation grows.
