Job summary

Chef Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to bridge customers and engineering teams. You will be in the field 50–75% of the time, performing on-site deployments, triage, fixes, and escalations.

You will collaborate with Applications and Engineering to resolve production issues and test new robot tasks for expansion at existing customers. This role requires hands-on hardware and software work, strong communication, and a passion for robotics in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; related field acceptable.
• Experience in customer-facing roles in applications engineering, deployment, or solutions engineering.
• Travel willingness with 75% on-site support
• Experience with API integrations for Support tooling development
• Proven track record of shipping products quickly and efficiently
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Act as the face of Chef Robotics in the field, leading in-field deployment and support at customer sites
• Investigate customer issues, triage tickets with data, determine fixes and deploy mitigations
• Collaborate with Applications and Engineering teams to resolve production-blocking issues
• Execute field break/fix hardware repairs and deploy/test new software
• Work with Customer Success to improve performance and develop new robot tasks at existing customers
• Be hands-on with system break/fix and perform on-site repairs as needed
• Prepare and develop technical presentations explaining products to customers
