Job summary

Figure, an AI robotics company in San Jose, is seeking a hands-on Deployment Engineer for the Data Collection team to bridge field operations and core engineering, overseeing on-site deployment of early-stage robotic systems.

You will troubleshoot, drive root-cause analysis, and build scalable workflows while traveling regularly across the Bay Area and nationwide to collect data at customer sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in automotive or industrial automation/robotics integration, deployment, and development.
• Engineering degree required.
• Willingness to travel frequently to collect sites; strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering with deployment, serving as an on-site representative to reach development goals.
• Provide hands-on support to collection team to unblock technical issues and coach troubleshooting.
• Execute robot commissioning and testing at customer sites, including tracking and analyzing collections.
• Triage hardware and software issues, document learnings, and drive fixes to resolution across engineering teams.
• Plan and execute logistics of deploying early-stage robotic systems to homes and apartments.
• Work with robot operators and technicians as site lead, ensuring tasks, tools, and spares are ready.
• Produce regular summaries of site health, recurring issues, and trends to engineers and leadership.
