Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, startup, certification, and customer training on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. You will coordinate with the project team to ensure work stays within scope, budget, and schedule, while delivering world-class service.

This role requires strong leadership, field supervision, and the ability to read blueprints, manage subcontractors, and drive safe, compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant field project management experience in building automation, fire alarm, or electronic security.
• Experience supervising field crews and coordinating subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversees site management to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Prepares installation plans and implements job procedures with the Project Coordinator.
• Supervises field crews and subcontractors; mentors and assigns tasks.
• Coordinates subcontractors and ensures quality assurance on-site.
• Collaborates with Project Coordinator to manage scope changes and client satisfaction.
• Identifies project risks and helps implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensures installations meet national and local codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services fire, security, and/or building automation systems.
• Maintains strong documentation and supports customer training and support.
