Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, system start-up, and training on fire, security, and/or building automation projects. You will manage site activities, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure completion within scope, budget, and schedule.

The role requires strong supervision skills, field experience with building automation and life-safety systems, and excellent communication. Occasional travel and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising field installations of building automation or life-safety systems.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with MS Office and able to communicate clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall site management for timely completion within budget and scope.
• Supervises field personnel and subcontractors, mentoring as needed.
• Coordinates with project coordinator to plan installation and procedures.
• Ensures quality and compliance with codes and standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services security, fire, or building automation systems.
• Identifies risks and implements strategies to minimize cost overruns and delays.
