Job summary

Convergint in Phoenix, AZ seeks a full-time Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, system start-up, and training on assigned Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. You will work with the project team to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and schedule, while maintaining Convergint's customer-first culture.

The role requires hands-on supervision of field staff and subcontractors, adherence to codes, and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service for building automation, fire, or security systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience supervising field technicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversees site management of projects for timely completion within budget and scope.
• Prepares installation plans and implements job procedures with the Project Coordinator.
• Supervises technicians and subcontractors in the field and mentors staff.
• Coordinates subcontractors and ensures quality assurance on-site.
• collaborates with project coordinator to optimize scope and customer satisfaction.
• Identifies risks and supports strategies to minimize cost and schedule deviations.
• Ensures installation quality per codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services building automation, fire, life safety, and security systems.
