Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, start-up, and training on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects. You will work with the project team to meet contract scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

You’ll supervise field staff and subcontractors, coordinate with the Project Coordinator, and help manage risk and changes in scope. This role requires travel and a strong customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong supervision skills and installation experience in building automation, fire alarm, and/or security systems.
• Ability to adapt procedures, processes, and tools for complex projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and basic project tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall site management of project(s) to ensure timely completion within budget and scope.
• Coordinates with Project Coordinator to plan installations and job procedures.
• Supervises installers and subcontractors; mentors; assigns and directs work.
• Ensures installation quality per codes and company standards.
• Installs, programs, tests, and services systems including building automation, fire/life safety, and security.
