Job summary

Convergint is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead installation, programming, startup, and training for fire, security, and building automation projects. You’ll collaborate with the project team to deliver within budget and schedule, while ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.

This role requires strong field supervision, blueprint literacy, and proactive problem-solving. You’ll travel to jobsites, work in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to Convergint’s culture and growth.

Qualifications

• Customer focus under pressure and goal-oriented attitude.
• Strong supervision skills and field-experience with building automation or security systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve field issues.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and use math for installations.
• Experience with electrical/mechanical tools and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and organization for multi-project environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversees site management and ensures projects meet scope, budget, and schedule.
• Directs installers and subcontractors; mentors team members.
• Coordinates with Project Coordinator; manages changes in scope and quality assurance.
• Installs, programs, tests, and services building systems (fire, life safety, security).
• Maintains high customer satisfaction and supports training for customers.
