Job summary

Konica Minolta is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of KM Production, Color Production, and MFP equipment, as well as non-KM printers. You will travel locally to customer sites, install and de-install devices, and assist with networking, drivers, and firmware updates.

The role requires electrical/mechanical aptitude, strong time management, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Familiar with printing from common business applications and graphics programs.
• Microsoft OS peer to peer and MAC OS client side of server environments.
• Must have excellent time management skills and be capable of prioritizing activities and schedule to obtain effective results.
• Exhibit professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Teamwork; must work well with others.
• Understands territory parts budget and inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
• Performs full range of on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and customer call assistance on assigned products and printers; installs/de-installs equipment and troubleshoots networking issues.
• Travels locally to customer sites daily to manage territory workload and maintain customer communication.
• Occasionally travels outside local area for training.
• Communicates with management on customer or field issues.
• Completes training and services products; requests assistance when needed to meet customer demands.
• Maintains productivity and adheres to call-handling procedures and core metrics.
• Demonstrates progress in technical abilities and troubleshooting.
• Uses company assets to access service literature and part books.
• Maintains ASL truck inventory for territory.
• Trains customers on basic printing/scanning/copying functions.
• Completes weekly timesheets and expense reports timely.
• Provides sales support when required.
