Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Tech/Power Systems Technicians to service, test and maintain power transmission and distribution equipment across various voltage levels. Duties include inspection, testing, startup, data collection and on-call response to customer emergencies.

Opportunities range from I to Sr levels with strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma/GED with 1+ year experience and familiarity with NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA standards;

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of related field experience.
• Familiarity with NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards preferred.
• Experience with MCCs, breakers, relay testing, infrared scanning, and switchgear up to 500kV is a plus; military training in Prime Power programs is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, startup and data collection for low/medium/high voltage systems up to 500kV.
• Test and inspect switchgear, breakers, transformers and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on breakers and switchgear up to 15 kV; 480V low voltage as needed.
• Operate high voltage test equipment (e.g., Doble Power Factor sets).
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
