Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow our customer base and maintain relationships with existing clients. You will visit customers at their sites, promote products, and drive sales in a defined territory.

The role requires 3+ years of industry experience (4+ preferred) and a4-year degree is preferred. Expect extensive travel and a compensation package starting at $65,000 with bonus potential and a robust benefits program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals.
• Ability to sell and be persuasive.
• Extensive travel required.

Responsibilities

• Sell products and services in assigned territory and develop new prospects.
• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget per pricing policies.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs and suggest new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records and assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
