Job summary

WM is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to oversee onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role involves substantial field work with frontline employees to foster positive relationships and drive safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include ensuring tools and instruction for new hires, daily onboarding touchpoints, safety training, incident documentation, and regulatory recordkeeping across route operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher with two years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Driver's License valid upon hire.
• Preferred: WM Operations Manager Trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new frontline employees have tools, instruction, and feedback for daily duties.
• Meet daily with new frontline employees to support onboarding.
• Provide timely touchpoints with frontline staff.
• Regularly review best practices to improve daily performance.
• Support frontline employees' career development goals.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with frontline employees to ensure success.
• Lead coaching conversations and model WM safety practices.

Education

Associate's Degree

High School Diploma + 2 years of relevant work experience
