WM (Waste Management) is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee in Tennessee to oversee onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of drivers and helpers. The role spends most of the day in the field with frontline employees and builds positive relationships to support safety and daily operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in frontline supervision, a willingness to lead by example, and a track record of communicating effectively with new hires and teams

Qualifications

• Onboarding, developing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management experience.
• Frontline supervision experience with drivers/helpers.
• Willingness to work in field and uphold safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Ensure new frontline employees have tools, instruction, and feedback.
• Meet daily with new frontline employees for onboarding support.
• Provide timely, consistent touchpoints with frontline staff.
• Regularly review best practices to boost daily performance.
• Focus on frontline career goals and progression.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with frontline staff.
• Lead coaching conversations and model WM safety practices.
• Document and address injuries, incidents, and retraining needs.
• Review route documentation daily and follow up as needed.
• Visit customers to address safety issues and explore service alternatives.
