Job summary

WM Portland seeks an Onboarding and People Development Manager in training to lead driver and helper performance. This role spends most days in the field, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring safety and productive daily duties.

You will build strong relationships with front-line staff, manage onboarding touchpoints, identify improvement opportunities, and document regulatory records with a safety-first mindset. Preference goes to those who completed WM's Operations Manager Trainee program.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree (accredited) or high school diploma with 2 years relevant work experience.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. and must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, develop, coach, and manage performance of drivers and helpers.
• Spend majority of time in the field with frontline employees to ensure safety and productivity.
• Lead onboarding meetings and provide timely feedback and coaching.
• Review safety practices, root cause issues, and maintain regulatory records.
