Job summary

Cox Automotive in the USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II – DOT to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on light to heavy‑duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.

You will work independently, manage a company‑issued service truck, meet safety regulations, document work on RO using TRAIT, and coordinate with a support team. New hire bonus of $3000 and weekly pay are available along with tools and training.

Qualifications

HS diploma/GED with 3 years related experience or 5 years experience.
Own set of hand tools required.
DOT/FMCSA background and DOT medical card requirements.
Must be at least 21 years old and hold valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/Brake/Cooling systems, starters/alternators, engines, transmissions, clutches and differentials.
Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
Document findings on Repair Orders using TRAIT app and upload photos.
Maintain and operate a company-issued service truck and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
