Job summary

Cox Automotive – USA seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trucks in a mobile/field setting. A $2,500 new hire bonus applies, with rapid onboarding and nationwide service coverage.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, tool set, and DOT compliance, including a valid DOT medical card and driver’s license. This position offers weekly pay, safety gear reimbursements, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• A valid DOT medical card and driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to operate a company service truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Perform minor repairs involving electrical, brakes, cooling, and engine systems.
• Manage parts inventory and service-truck supplies.
• Complete DOT forms and upload RO documentation via TRAIT app.
• Communicate findings and obtain approvals as needed.
