Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a fleet ranging from light to heavy-duty vehicles. You'll work independently in the field, with a company-provided service vehicle and on-site support from Cox Fleet.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and hands-on vehicle diagnostics, offering weekly pay, benefits starting day one, and a New Hire Bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain ASE certifications as required.
• Must pass DOT medical and background checks as applicable.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in field service.
• Diagnose and repair truck equipment across electrical, braking, cooling, and drivetrain systems.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Document work on RO using mobile TRAIT app and iOS device.
• Maintain inventory and service truck; manage parts and tools.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
