National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) seeks a results-driven Membership Sales Representative to actively engage small business owners in person, presenting NFIB’s value and inviting them to join our national movement. You will spend the majority of time in the field across your local market, meeting business owners face-to-face to grow NFIB membership.

The role emphasizes a hunter/closer approach with a clear sales model and no long-term account management after enrollment.

Qualifications

• Sales experience is helpful—but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to convey NFIB’s mission clearly and persuasively.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with small business owners through in-person prospecting (no appointment setting)
• Deliver NFIB’s proven, 5-minute sales presentation with confidence, authenticity, and urgency
• Build fast rapport and communicate NFIB’s mission clearly and compellingly
• Address objections and close membership enrollments in one visit
• Process membership payments on the spot
