National Federation of Independent Business is recruiting a Membership Sales Representative to drive field-based outreach to small business owners. You’ll present NFIB’s value in face-to-face meetings and work to convert inquiries into memberships, earning commissions and performance bonuses.

This hunter/closer role emphasizes impact and outcomes, with an emphasis on driving policy-supported advocacy for entrepreneurs, while offering training and a clear career path within NFIB.

Qualifications

• Sales experience is helpful—but not required.
• Hunter/closer role with no account management after the sale.
• W-2 position with full benefits after 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with small business owners through in-person prospecting (no appointment setting)
• Deliver NFIB’s proven, 5-minute sales presentation with confidence, authenticity, and urgency
• Build fast rapport and communicate NFIB’s mission clearly and compellingly
• Address objections and close membership enrollments in one visit
• Process membership payments on the spot
