Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Idaho seeks a Jobsite Material Coordinator to manage material handling, inventory, and field logistics across customer sites and branches. You will coordinate with the Border States warehouse, drivers, and contractors to keep projects on schedule and costs controlled.

This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-oriented approach. Familiarity with SAP and handheld tech is a plus; experience with large material handling

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent in work experience.
• Construction experience including large equipment or forklift operation.
• Knowledge of electrical products/systems preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with medical certification is a plus.
• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Ability to use handheld technology.
• Windows/PC, Internet, Email and SAP knowledge a plus.
• Must have heavy material lifting experience.
• Knowledge of PPE, inspections, slings, load charts and angles.
• Knowledge of securing loads to flatbed trailers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material deliveries, shipments, and transfers to customer sites and branch locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Receive incoming freight and check material for damage or shortages.
• Collaborate to prepare, stage or kit material for construction activities.
• Lead setup and ongoing management of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
• Coordinate with customers and branch personnel on inventory changes and maintenance.
• Maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels to meet demand.
• Keep project schedules with up-to-date inventory information.
• Manage field material requests and back-ordered items.
• Receive, inspect, prepare and stage material for delivery or installation at the site.
• Monitor VMI and logistics performance metrics for service quality.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely and per standards.
• Perform SAP or equivalent system functions to track inventory and orders.
• Coordinate inventory control activities including cycle counts and adjustments.
• Maintain communication and teamwork across teams.
• Participate in safety trainings and courses.
• Assist planning inbound/outbound shipments to match project schedules.
• Provide responsive, quality service to customers.
