Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive volume and distribution across our brands with both on- and off-premise accounts. You will lead growth initiatives, build brands, and coordinate with distributors to execute in-store and promotional plans.

The role requires a results-driven mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel within an assigned territory. A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of field sales experience in beverages or CPG are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG industries.
• Results Driven: Proven volume achievements and ability to deliver on distribution and retail promotional goals.
• Technical Savvy: Demonstrated use of sales data analytics to drive results.
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within an assigned territory.
• Schedule: Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, evenings and weekends.
• Location: Live in or near the territory.
• Expenses: Able to cover ordinary business expenses that will be reimbursed.
• Compliance: Ability to obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.

Responsibilities

• Crafting Solutions for Growth: Implement and manage innovative solutions to boost business for assigned accounts.
• Brand Building: Use consumer trends to educate customers and grow market share.
• Distribution: Lead distributors with in-store selling, marketing, and account execution.
• Volume Objectives: Help achieve core brand volume objectives in the portfolio.
• Strategic Programs: Execute programs for distribution, merchandising, and promotions.
• Rapport Building: Develop mutually valuable rapport with customers.
• Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
• KPI Monitoring: Track KPIs to ensure goals are met.
