Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative in the Chicago area to act as the key partner for off-premise locations, driving volume and distribution for our brands. You will connect consumers with favorite spirits and lead growth initiatives in your assigned territory.

In this role you will craft growth solutions, build brands using trends, manage distributor relationships, and monitor KPIs to hit volume targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG.
• Proven volume achievements and ability to deliver on distribution and retail promotional goals.
• Demonstrated use of sales data analytics to drive results.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within an assigned territory.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Live in or near the territory and be able to cover expenses that are reimbursed.
• Must obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.

Responsibilities

• Crafting Solutions for Growth: Implement and manage innovative solutions to boost business for assigned accounts.
• Brand Building: Use consumer trends to educate customers and grow brand share.
• Distribution: Lead distributors with in-store selling, marketing, and account execution.
• Volume Objectives: Help achieve objectives for core brands.
• Strategic Programs: Execute programs for distribution, merchandising, and promotions.
• Rapport Building: Develop mutually valuable rapport with customers.
• Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the primary communication link between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams.
• KPI Monitoring: Track KPIs to ensure goals are reached.
