Otis Elevator Co. invites an experienced maintenance operations leader to guide field activities in Traverse City, MI. You will supervise technicians, plan service work, allocate resources, and train staff to uphold safety and quality.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and travel within the territory. A BA/BS or equivalent experience is preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package and ample growth opportunities at a global industry leader.

Qualifications

• High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 7 years)
• Experience leading a team of technicians is required
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
• Elevator industry experience is desired, but not required
• Travel within your territory is required; driver’s license as required for your territory

Responsibilities

• Ensure field employee safety and quality of service in your territory
• Plan, organize, and manage service field activities to meet customer needs and company standards
• Ensure effective and efficient allocation of resources such as manpower and materials
• Conduct field education training with field workforce
• Improve efficiencies, managing route schedules and callback rates
• Provide technical support to field staff, self-provided or redirected to other experts
• Authorize repair orders and track completion
• Lead change toward better efficiency and communication
