Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Technician I to perform field and laboratory testing of soils and concrete in accordance with industry standards. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to QA/QC procedures while supporting clients and project teams.

Responsibilities include field tests, lab analyses, report creation, and coordination with project managers. Occasional travel within the regional area is required, and the candidate should be prepared for outdoor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year vocational or college degree preferred.
• Communication skills sufficient to work effectively with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to interact successfully with a wide variety of people, work effectively within project teams, resolve issues and problems in a constructive manner.
• Capable of the physical labor required including work at hazardous waste sites, with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, plastics, concrete and related materials per ASTM/ACI standards.
• Report test results and maintain QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate with project manager and communicate with clients and suppliers.
• Maintain laboratory and field equipment; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Frequent travel within the regional area as required.
