Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks Field Engineers to support engineers in field and laboratory work, perform geotechnical tests, collect samples, and prepare site visit reports. This role involves field observations on construction materials, data collection, and collaboration with project teams.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Geological engineering background, 0–3 years of experience, and may pursue EIT/PE credentials. Travel within regional area is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE) preferred.
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field testing and soil laboratory tests according to QA procedures.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work and site visit reports.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs and ensure data quality.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the materials testing laboratory in the local office.
• Assist with geotechnical investigations including field drilling and laboratory testing.
