Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking Field Engineers to support engineers in the field and laboratories, performing site observations and soil testing for construction materials. The role emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and accurate data collection to deliver reliable project outcomes.

The position targets candidates pursuing Civil, Geology, or related fields across multiple locations, with opportunities for training and career development in a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fundamental engineering or scientific principles within specialty area and ability to apply that knowledge to the job.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work at environmental remediation, industrial and construction sites and perform field work including collecting samples and documenting field activities.
• Communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Field and Laboratory Work.
• Perform soil boring layout/documentation and surveying as needed.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the materials testing laboratory.
