Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to support engineers and technicians in the field, perform laboratory testing, and observe construction materials. The role emphasizes data collection, QA procedures, safety, and collaboration to deliver high-quality geotechnical services across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science field.
• EIT and ability to achieve PE preferred.
• Internship or prior work experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Field and Laboratory Work: Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures and perform soil boring layout/documentation.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work and site visit reports for job files.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs and ensure tasks meet project quality requirements.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the materials testing laboratory in the local office.
• Assist with geotechnical investigations including field drilling, laboratory testing, analyses and report preparation.
