Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to support engineers and technicians in the field. This role involves field and laboratory work, performing geotechnical testing, and assisting with site visits to collect data for construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil/Geological engineering background,0-3 years experience, and be comfortable working outdoors and traveling regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geologic, or related Engineering field.
• 0–3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• EIT and ability to achieve PE preferred; internship or prior work experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Field and Laboratory Work: Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.
• Performance of Work/Report Preparation: Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Communication with clients to determine project needs and ensure QA compliance.
• Assist in training of less experienced personnel in routine field work/documentation.
• Assist with geotechnical engineering investigations including field drilling and laboratory testing, analyses and report preparation.
• Coordinate with other AET staff to increase efficiency and productivity.
