Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is a 100% employee-owned firm delivering geotechnical testing, analysis, and design for construction projects. The Field Engineer will support engineers and technicians in the field, perform laboratory testing, and conduct field observation to ensure data quality and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE) preferred.
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.
• Perform soil laboratory tests according to QA procedures.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Assist in training of less experienced personnel in routine field work/documentation.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs.
• Assist with geotechnical investigations including field drilling and laboratory testing.
