Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking Field Engineers to support engineers, perform field observations of construction materials, and conduct laboratory testing. The role emphasizes adaptability, teamwork, and data quality in a field-focused environment.

You will work across Civil, Geology, and related fields, travel regionally, and assist with geotechnical investigations, drilling, and report preparation while adhering to QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE) preferred.
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Field and Laboratory Work: Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.
• Perform soil laboratory tests according to QA procedures.
• Log/classify soil samples in laboratory or fieldwork, as needed.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work and site visit reports using standard AET forms.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs and ensure QA compliance.
