Job summary

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is seeking a Field IT Support Technician to install and maintain computer equipment, printers, and Key Control devices at customer sites. You will manage parts inventory and log work in our service tracking system while traveling with a company vehicle.

You should have a technical associate degree or equivalent experience, 1+ years in hardware/networking, and valid driver’s license. Training in College Station, Texas is provided; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of technical experience (hardware/networking).
• A+ and/or Network+ certification is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to travel up to 10% with hotel stays.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation and maintenance on computers, printers, and Key Control equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts and document work in the service tracking system.
• Travel to customer sites using company vehicle and provide responsive support.

Position Description

As a Field IT Support Technician, you will perform onsite installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer equipment, printers, and specialized Key Control equipment. Each technician is provided with a company vehicle that will be used to travel to our customer sites. Other duties include maintaining an inventory of repair parts and documenting your work through our service tracking system.

Some of the hardware you will be working with is as follows:

• Application Servers
• PC’s
• Cabling
• Switches
• Printers
• Routers
• Fiber Converters
• Scanners

Training

You will have an assigned territory and will attend a paid training program in College Station, Texas. The training is primarily a hands-on familiarization course of the equipment at customer sites and will also teach our policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Technical associates degree or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of technical experience (hardware/networking)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basisli
• Must be able to attend a paid training class in Texas
• Must have a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years
• Good communication skills
• Customer service experience
• A+ and/or Network+ certified is a plus
• Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 10% of the time
