Job summary

REYNOLDS & REYNOLDS CO is seeking a Field IT Support Technician to perform onsite installation and maintenance of computer equipment, printers, and specialized Key Control gear. You will travel to customer sites using a company vehicle and document work in our service tracking system.

You will participate in a paid training program in College Station, Texas, and operate within a defined territory with occasional hotel stays for travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Technical associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of technical experience in hardware and networking.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Must travel for training in Texas and occasional hotel stays up to 10%.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record (no OVI/DUI in last 5 years).

Job Description

As a Field IT Support Technician, you will perform onsite installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer equipment, printers, and specialized Key Control equipment. Each technician is provided with a company vehicle that will be used to travel to our customer sites. Other duties include maintaining an inventory of repair parts and documenting your work through our service tracking system.

Some of the hardware you will be working with is as follows:

• Application Servers
• PC's
• Cabling
• Switches
• Printers
• Routers
• Fiber Converters
• Scanners

Training

You will have an assigned territory and will attend a paid training program in College Station, Texas. The training is primarily a hands-on familiarization course of the equipment at customer sites and will also teach our policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Technical associates degree or equivalent work experience
• 1+ years of technical experience (hardware/networking)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basis
• Must be able to attend a paid training class in Texas
• Must have a valid driver's license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years
• Good communication skills
• Customer service experience
• A+ and/or Network+ certified is a plus
• Ability to travel, with hotel stays, up to 10% of the time
