Job summary

ProActive Technology Group is seeking a dependable Field Technician to service client sites across Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn with occasional travel to Greenvale, NY. Half of the time will be in the field, delivering in-person IT support and resolving issues.

You will troubleshoot workstations, Microsoft 365, printers, basic servers, and network concerns while supporting deployments and office IT moves. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a managed services or IT support role.
• Experience providing field support and onsite deployments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Level 1/2 support for client environments.
• Troubleshoot issues related to workstations, Microsoft 365, printers, and basic servers.
• Travel to client sites to perform support, remediation, deployment, and installation work.
• Assist with workstation setups, onboarding/offboarding, hardware replacements, and office IT moves.
• Support onsite project tasks such as network equipment installs and wireless deployments.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
• Document findings and client environment details in IT Glue.
• Use Halo PSA for ticket management and time entry.
• Use Ninja RMM for remote access and monitoring.
• Maintain professionalism and strong customer service on site.
• Be flexible with schedule, including after-hours work.
