Job summary

TES Staffing is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to own day-to-day IT operations and client systems for a Greenport, NY account. The role blends remote work with on-site visits, requiring strong troubleshooting, systems administration, and excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows 10/11 workplaces and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Proficient in user provisioning, permissions, authentication, and access management.
• Experience deploying, patching, and maintaining endpoints.
• Strong troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, VPN.
• Experience with printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Familiar with remote monitoring/management (RMM) and ticketing systems.
• Ability to document procedures and manage IT assets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical resource for day‑to‑day IT support and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot Tier 1/2 Windows desktop issues, user profiles, and system performance.
• Diagnose Microsoft 365 problems including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and access.
• Investigate root causes across hardware, software, authentication, and connectivity.
• Resolve network connectivity issues including Wi‑Fi, printers, and endpoints.
• Coordinate with senior staff for deeper network/server/security tasks.
• Provision and configure desktops, laptops, accounts, and equipment.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and access changes.
• Support AD/Entra environments and permissions as applicable.
• Conduct software installations, patching, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain documentation, assets, and troubleshooting notes.
• Contribute to uptime, security, and performance improvements.
