Job summary

The Field Service Technician role in New York, NY supports multiple store locations with frequent daily travel. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, delivers excellent customer service, communicates clearly, and documents IT issues for timely resolution.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting IT equipment, understanding power concepts, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Competitive hourly wages offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of IT technical support experience.
• A+ CompTIA certification required.
• Technical hardware experience required.
• Net+ CompTIA certification is a plus.
• Field service experience preferred.
• Exceptional Customer Service and relationship building competence.
• Excellent time management and reporting skill.
• Familiar with various operating systems (e.g. Windows OS, OSX, Linux/Unix).
• Experience desired in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors.
• Proficient communicator with emotional intelligence insight for explaining IT terminologies at the client’s level of understanding.
• Insight to POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, AP’s, Servers, Network switch equipment.
• Able to lift 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts.
• Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment.
• Occasionally works at heights of 20’ to 25’, lift equipment training provided.
• Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily.
