Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) seeks an Elite Outside Sales Advocate to expand small-business membership in the local market. This hybrid, field-focused role where your office is wherever you work, with 95% time spent meeting business owners face-to-face.

You’ll join a mission-driven team, receive best-in-class training, uncapped commissions, and full benefits while building strong community ties across Washington, DC and state capitals.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial spirit and ownership of a business or territory.
• Relational grit to conduct face-to-face meetings with owners.
• Coach mentality with a focus on continuous improvement and a proven sales model.
• Mission-driven to grow NFIB membership and advocate for small business.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting: Conduct in-person cold calls to meet small business owners (no appointment setting).
• The NFIB Presentation: Master and deliver the 5-minute sales presentation.
• The Close: Use an assumptive one-call close to enroll new members and process payments on the spot.
• Advocacy: Educate owners on NFIB protections in DC and state capitals.
