Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right aways, roadsides, removing weeds, trimming, and cutting grass and brush. This role involves using a spray truck, an ATV, a backpack sprayer, or a hose.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a valid driver's license, and pass pre-employment DOT screenings. Travel of 4–6 weeks is required; licensing within 90 days of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• 21+ years old and valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4–6 weeks at a time.
• Herbicide application experience preferred.
• Commercial pesticide applicator license preferred; must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Agricultural/landscaping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all DOT required truck inspections and troubleshoot issues.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Calibrate all spray equipment after training.
• Learn general weed, grass, and brush types.
• Understand safety requirements and chemicals to meet customer expectations.
