Job summary

Generator Supercenter is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to plan work with the Service Manager and travel to customers' residences to service whole home standby generators. You will diagnose using manuals and blueprints, and communicate results to customers during visits.

The role requires reading technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and schematics, and updating the service software after completion.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, plus experience with mechanical or electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers' residences using the company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival and work performed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home standby generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
• Test and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.
• Document services in the electronic system and adhere to safety practices.
