Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to plan work with the Service Manager and travel to customer residences.

You will use a company vehicle to perform repair and preventive maintenance on whole home standby generators, communicating clearly with customers and updating records in our software. This role requires mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability to read manuals and blueprints, and adherence to safety practices.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to convey issues clearly.
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Able to work independently with initiative.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle.
• Communicate arrival times and work performed to customers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home standby generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, and procedures to complete tasks.
• Test and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches.
• Document services using electronic system.
• Adhere to safety practices; perform other duties as needed.
