Job summary

Generator Supercenter is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to travel to customers’ residences using a company vehicle to perform repair and maintenance on whole-home standby generators. You will troubleshoot with mechanical and electrical knowledge and update the service software after each job.

The role emphasizes safety, reading manuals and schematics, and communicating clearly with customers. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with flexibility for weather-related changes.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair and electrical wiring.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle.
• Communicate arrival times and work performed to customers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Test transfer switches and document services in the software system.
• Adhere to safety practices and respond to weather-related scheduling.
