Job summary

Generator Supercenter of Tampa Bay is seeking a full-time Generator Small Engine Mechanic/AC Service Technician to repair and maintain whole home standby generators at customers’ residences. You will travel in the surrounding area using the company vehicle and communicate clearly with customers about work progress and results.

You will use mechanical and electrical knowledge to diagnose and fix generators, read manuals and wiring diagrams, and update the job software with service details.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Comfort working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ residences using company vehicle.
• Communicate arrival times, work performed and outcomes with customers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain home standby generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams and procedures; operate transfer switches.
• Document services in the electronic software system; ensure safety.
